The Rt Hon Andrew Tyrie MP held an open meeting in Chichester on Friday March 11th.
Andrew addressed constituents and Members and spoke at length about current issues, and answered numerous questions from the audience.
The AGM for Chichester City Branch followed the Open Meeting and was Chaired by recently appointed Chairman Les Hixson (who struggeld through the meeting having had an eye operation the day before). The AGM was well attended and committee members provided a delicious complimentary buffet supper for the Members. Wine was kindly donated by Tony Dignum (previous City Branch Chairman, Leader of CDC) and by Les Hixson.
Barbara Garrett (Treasurer) presented the Treasurers Report and Annual Accounts to Members who unanimously approved.
Sue Spooner (Deputy Chairman) took nominations for the Officers and Committee. Les Hixson was returned as Chairman, Sue Spooner and Peter Budge as Deputies, Barbara Garrett was elected as Secretary, and John Garrett as Treasurer.
The Chairman would like to thank Sue, Peter, Barbara and John very much for their support, and for standing for election. He could not manage without ther wonderful work.
The other committee members were re-elected en bloc.
Sheila Walker retired for many years as Secretary and will continue as Coffee Morning Organiser. Sheila presented the Coffee Morning programme for the coming year which includes many excellent speakers.The Chairman thanked Sheila for all her hard work and dedication.

Jane Kilby - Leader of Chichester City Council gave a summary of the achievements of the City Council to date.
Tony Dignum - Leader of CDC presented the members with a comprehensive report of his work as Leader since The Election.
Louise Goldsmith - Leader of WSCC reported the acheivements, and the many challenges that lied ahead for the County Council.
The next event will be the EU referendum Supper and Question Time on April 22nd which promises to be an excellent evening with several important pannelists here to answer audience questions.
