Chichester Conservative Womens Organisation Canal Trip and Cream Tea Event
What a successful event! A wonderful afternoon spent on the Chichester Canal and a delicious cream tea.
With a boat full to capacity the Chichester Conservative Women's Organisation set sail from Chichester Canal Basin at 3pm. There was huge excitement as the skipper and crew pointed out Heron's, Coots, and even a terrapin along the route.
The weather was glorious, and the ladies glamorous - as you can see from the photos!
There were a number of men brave enough to set sail - and were warmly shared between the tables - none ended up overboard!
The cream tea was delicious with generous portions of cakes and scones, all home made by the wonderful Ship Canal Volunteers.
A Conservative Branch fundraising raffle was held - One lady commented that she thought perhaps we were on a booze cruise as all the raffle prizes were of the alcoholic kind......
A huge Thank You to Ann Myers (Chichester Conservative Women's Association Branch Chairman), Jay Dinnick (Chichester Conservative Women's Association Branch Hon Treasurer) Melva Bateman (Chichester Conservative Women's Association Branch Hon Secretary) and all the committee members involved in planning and running the Event.
