Katy Bourne is delighted to be re-elected as Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex
Dear colleagues
My favourite number at the moment is 281,538. Why? Well that’s the number of people that voted in this year’s PCC election in Sussex, a whopping 46% increase on previous. Your efforts made this a very legitimate election, with a fantastic majority, more than double what we achieved in 2012. That’s a brilliant victory and we achieved it together. I’d like to say a really big thank you to everyone who delivered, did telling at polling stations, canvassed, knocked up – it was a really marvellous team effort. Now we can look forward to four more years of truly being “Safer In Sussex”.
Here’s a message from Katy:
"I am really delighted and privileged to be re-elected as PCC for Sussex with an increased majority of 53,000 and a higher turnout. However, I could not have achieved this result without the huge support and help given by the Associations, local Councillors and party members across Sussex. I am truly grateful for your hard work delivering my newspapers and postal vote letters to more than 340,000 people. Thank you."
Best wishes and thanks again for everything
Pete
