The Home Secretary, the Rt Hon Theresa May MP, spoke to members and friends at reception in Chichester on Friday. Mrs May enjoyed drinks and canapés with guests before addressing the audience. The Home Secretary spoke about her role in the Home Office and how she she was especially proud of the Conservative's record of reducing crime whilst in government. Andrew Tyrie MP then hosted a question and answer session, with a wide range of topics under discussion. Mrs May was even quizzed by students from the local area on how she thought more young people encouraged to becoming involved with politics. The evening ended with a vote of thanks by Andrew Tyrie, after which Mrs May drew the first ticket in the raffle.
