A record turnout of Members for the Association General Meeting was recorded.
Members were given a short and lively address by Katy Bourne who is standing for re-election as Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex. We offer our full support and will be asking Members to help with the distribution of her election material throughout the Wards in the run-up to the PCC Election on May 5th 2016.
Andrew Tyrie gave a full report on current affairs, and took numerous questions from Members.
The meeting was Chaired by retired Association Chairman John Fox.
Lt Col Tex Pemberton (DC Political), Chris Wright (DC Membership & Fundraising) and Trevor Tupper OBE (Tresurer) retired from office.
Alison Griffiths, Dr Peter Wilding, and Roger Moore were elected unanimously in their place.
James Fanshawe CBE was unanimously re-elected as Chairman.
The Shakerley Cup was awared for the second year in succession to Harting and Rogate Branch for their exceptional fund raising performance. The cup was accepted by Sue Wright (Secretary) on behalf of the Branch.
The Agent's Cup was awarded to Les Hixson (Chairman of City Branch) for his Branch fund raising acheivements, his enthusiasm, and his success in recruiting significant numbers of new members to the City Branch. He graciously accepted on behalf of all his Committee.
CCA Chairman James Fanshawe presented his report on the acheivements of the past year, and his strategy for the coming year.
