I had the honour last week, of representing our Association at the Memorial Service in London of the Rt Hon Lord David Young of Graffham, our former President. The venue, the Freemasons Hall was full of people from all aspects of David’s life including former Prime Ministers, Cabinet Members past and present, including Gillian Keegan. Tributes were given about his charitable works, business life and David Cameron spoke eloquently on David’s Political Life. There were fascinating recounts of his time with Margaret Thatcher, and personal reflections from Lady Young and one of his granddaughters Matilda. Music provided by Sir Bryn Terfel and The Ne’imah Singers was absolutely beautiful. (pictured centre with Jane Kilby, Chairman to the left).
